Two albums and two years before their seminal duet/cover of Aerosmith's "Walk This Way", Run DMC was already breaking ground and making a musical statement with the help of blazing guitar work of Eddie Martinez. This is KIng of Rock from the album of the same name.
And before that there was Rock Box from their debut album "Run DMC".
It was on the album following "King of Rock", "Raising Hell" that producer Rick Rubin suggested that they cover "Walk this Way" and eventually involved Steven Tyler and Joe Perry that the band truly began to take off.
