Here's another band from Electric Purgatory
coming out of New Jersey is the Death Metal Powerhouse of God Forbid,
who like Killswitch Engage have garnered a good strong following and ton
of respect among thrash metal fans touring with the likes of Sevendust,
Opeth and Cradle of Filth. After releasing an indie EP in 1998 and
follow up in 2000, the group was signed for worldwide distribution to
Century Media Records. Featuring vocalist Byron Davis; bassist Beeker;
drummer Corey Pierce; and the brotherly guitar team of Doc Coyle and his
older sibling Dallas.
Byron is not your Mama's "Soul Crooner" - not even "kinda".
